Leah : "Early detection was something that saved me". #BCAMANDME

Leah, @blessedwithcancer, shares her message for breast cancer awareness month. She aims to overcome the misconception that breast cancer doesn't affect younger women.

Around 5000 women, under the age of 45, are diagnosed with breast cancer each year.

Checking your breasts regularly no matter your age, is the key to early detection, which can make a huge difference to the outcome of a diagnosis.

Creating a routine will make checking your boobs regularly second nature.

Whether you do it on the first day of every month, the first day of your period, after a gym class, when you are getting ready to go on a night out. The opportunities are endless.

Setting a reminder on your phone or writing it in your calendar, to check your boobs, can also be helpful.

Anything that works for you to never forget to check your boobs again.
