Nestled in the rolling Leicestershire countryside Ragdale Hall combines state-of-the-art facilities with the charm of traditional Victorian architecture to create one of the most luxurious and relaxing health spas in the country.
Located just outside Melton Mowbray, Ragdale Hall is currently the UK’s Best Spa*, has one of the highest ratings available from The Good Spa Guide, is a member of Trip Advisor’s Hall of Fame and holder of the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence for the last seven years. It has been referred to in the media as the ‘Rolls-Royce of spas’ and named the UK’s Number One Rural Retreat by the Telegraph.
Ragdale Hall teamed up with Jennifer Young in 2015, becoming the first spa in the country to offer a range of treatments using Jennifer Young products when they launched on 1st October 2015.
The Spa had for some time been researching what more could be done to enhance the spa experience for anyone experiencing the effects of cancer and cancer treatment on their skin. After meeting Jennifer and learning about her products and philosophy, there was no looking back; the team at Ragdale Hall began to discuss opportunities to work together.
Ragdale’s Senior Treatments manager, Hannah Farrell-Wall, said: “We were immediately impressed with Jennifer’s product range and the research behind it. Her products have produced some exceptional results and that fits with Ragdale Hall’s own philosophy of offering our guests the highest quality experience we can. Jennifer herself will be directly involved in training our therapists in how to use the products to maximise results, which we believe will make our team one of the best in the country for this specific type of treatment.”
The range of Jennifer Young treatments now offered at Ragdale Hall, all performed by specially trained therapists, is: Gently Calming Facial; Comforting Body Massage; Gently Soothing Manicure; Gently Soothing Pedicure; and the 75-minute top-to-toe Indulgent Journey.
Ragdale Hall has also found the Jennifer Young range has been particularly popular for those with sensitive skin or wanting to use a ‘nasties-free’ range.
Ragdale Hall has around 130 therapists. Those who have undertaken Jennifer’s training and perform the treatments at the Hall love doing the treatments and feel they are part of being inclusive to all. Hannah added: “They love the fact that they are able to help people who are going through a really difficult time in their lives and can make a difference.”
And guests are giving very positive feedback on the treatments and product range. Guest Nina, said: “My Jennifer Young massage and facial was wonderful and my therapist was confident, skilled and made me feel very special. We had a wonderful day! So ‘Thank-you’ for what you are doing in the industry. It really matters.”
Ragdale Hall ran a week of special activities and events for guests around the theme of ‘wellbeing’ to raise awareness of the new treatments and products. This even featured a Q&A session with Jennifer herself.
They also took the opportunity to offer discounts on Jennifer Young treatments at Ragdale Hall during National Spa Week in 2015, which ran the theme ‘Meet and Treat’ that year.
