What does it do?
The Intensive Serum is a must-have. We all have problem areas that need extra attention – whether they be dark spots and circles or, dare we say, wrinkles. Our Intensive Serum helps increase skin’s moisture levels as you undergo and recover from chemotherapy treatment.
How does it help?
Adding a serum to your daily routine can seem a little excessive at first, but once you feel the benefits of prepping your skin before applying your moisturiser, you will not want to go back.
Intensive Serum penetrates deep under the first layer of your skin, the epidermis, and delivers deep nourishment to irritated skin. When you go through chemotherapy, your skin cells will often bear the brunt of the treatments. They can become dry, damaged, and more sensitive to sunlight. Adding layers of moisture between your skin and harsh external elements can provide vital protection for your skin cells. Intensive Serum gets to those hard to reach lower layers of skin and helps to restore a glowing look to your face. Apricot and Peach Kernel Oils help to heal and calm skin that has become tight and sensitive and leave your skin feeling ready for the day ahead. Not only does it feel wonderful, but the gentle fragrance of apricot and peach is a bonus.
How to use it?
You can use Intensive Serum sparingly because it is easily absorbed into the skin. Apply one drop to your ring finger and apply to sensitive, lined, and delicate areas of your face. Gently dab serum into problem areas for better absorption without pulling your skin to avoid further irritating sensitive areas. Some people may find that focusing on the nose, chin, forehead, and cheeks works wonders to restore supple skin to these areas that are prone to be drier. You may want to wait a few moments before applying any moisturiser or cream on top.
When to use it?
Intensive serum can slip perfectly into any daily routine. You can even choose to skip a day between uses because it is just so deeply nourishing. To use during your morning routine, we recommend that Intensive Serum comes before your moisturiser, so that it can firstly get to the lower layers of your skin. This will help to keep dry areas smooth and nourished throughout the day.
Slot into your nightly routine by applying the serum after cleansing, to ensure your skin is make-up and dirt-free from the day. Then go ahead and add a few drops of serum to areas which may feel tight or rough.
What to use it with?
Intensive Serum is best paired with our organic Defiant Beauty Cleanse and Moisturise Balm to create a powerful combination of nourishing moisture for delicate skin.
What do our customers say?
“I have a dry and sensitive skin normally and found that chemotherapy made my face very dry and the skin quite tight. I decided to try the serum. I am so pleased with the results. It is very light, and I only need to apply a few drops to my face and neck each day. One of my friends, who is a beautician, told me that my skin felt "beautiful". and asked me what product I was using on my face to make it so soft. It really boosted my confidence.”
