Astounding news – oncology massage for cancer patients

‘We asked our readers and visitors to nominate the people they think are shaping the professional spa, beauty, nails and aesthetics market right now. You were among the most nominated’.

‘What me?’

I did check that the editor of Pro Beauty Mag had the right Jennifer. She assured me that she did (she is a journalist and good at that kind of stuff).

I am delighted to announce that I am, officially, on the list of Top 100 Beauty Industry Influencers.

I had no idea that anyone was being asked to nominate Top Influencers. Huge thanks to all of those who thought of me when making their suggestions, to Team JY and to all of the incredible folk who have helped me along the way.

I am driven by my determination to make the world of wellness and beauty fairer and more welcoming to those affected by cancer. Awards and recognition were never on my radar. It is an enormous honour to be included in such esteemed company.

Unusually, for me, I can’t wait for the party (which has now been postponed until Oct). I was very much looking forward to the celebration and to meeting the other Top 100. I wasn’t so taken with the photoshoot for the cover of Pro Beauty Magazine or the filming of interviews. At least the postponement gives me time to prepare myself mentally and physically.

The world of beauty and well-being for those affected by cancer is a very different place than it was when I started my mission to create specialist skincare collections and accredited oncology massage qualifications. For a long time, It felt as though mine was the only voice.  I am astounded that my voice was loud enough for me to be listed alongside some enormously influential figures in the beauty industry. I shake my head as I type.

Sending the biggest of big thanks
