“His Excellency the Ambassador throws a mean party – arrive thirsty”

Greetings from Prague. I am here to meet with some training organisations about collaboration. Whilst chatting this morning I heard the words “His Excellency the Ambassador throws a mean party – arrive thirsty” I thought I had better write my newsletter early. Like Facebook, newsletters should never be approached after (or during) a night out. I write at lunchtime and I hope you are reading this in the UK early evening. As we all know, I am no technical whizz – fingers are crossed for scheduling success. Fingers should also be crossed that, I can, in the next few hours, learn how to walk in the very high heels that I have (optimistically) brought with me for the ‘do’ at the British Embassy and Residence of our Ambassador in Prague. Heels are not part of my life. Things progress as usual in the UK. We should soon be able to announce the opening date for our second London hospital-based salon. I haven’t seen the premises but I am hopeful (there ‘s that optimism again). It would be lovely to have something further North but we haven’t received any invitations…yet. I have now managed to identify the winner of the free qualifications for beauty and holistic therapists. Helen has been informed, is duly excited and will attend one of our Post-Graduate Diplomas in Oncology Hand, Nail and Foot Treatments. Our next competition for a free course place will be at the Holistic Health Show in Birmingham in May. Jo (the boss) and I will both be there. Please come and say ‘Hello’ Ok, time to practice walking – maybe it will be easier after some refreshment? Sending steady steps to success Jennifer Please come and see us either at Guys Cancer Centre or at a talk or an exhibition.
